9 storey green wall completed
15 July 2015
A landmark nine storey atrium space designed by fabrik and Assael Architects has recently completed in West London.
Westgate House at Barratt London’s Great West Quarter in Brentford forms the final chapter of the new mixed use neighbourhood. Consisting of ground floor commercial use below nine floors providing 83 private apartments, Westgate House faces onto the A4 Great West Road.
With space at a premium, a unique solution to provide shared amenity space for the residents of the building has resulted in the creation of a glass atrium with landscaped garden decks and 26m high living wall. The atrium also acts to reduce noise and purify air entering the communal spaces of the building.
