further development at fulham riverside
22 September 2015
Construction is continuing at a pace at Barratt London’s Fulham Riverside development. The 8 acre mixed use development, split into two phases, provides housing and retail facilities within a contemporary, formal landscape setting. A grand central avenue flanked with mature lime trees connects the development and surrounding neighbourhoods to the River Thames. A peaceful river walk with natural stone paving and tree planting frames views across the water. Secluded gardens are located within the centre of both phases, each with its own character and style.
Significant elements of the first phase are due to be unveiled this month. The new concierge, set on central avenue, is nearing completion. Residents will soon be able to walk between the mature tree avenue to access the spectacular 24hr concierge lobby. In the podium gardens, located on the 3rd and 4th floor, finishing touches are being applied to the large water wall separating the two levels. Water cascades over the three meter high wall into the pool below, while a floating steel staircase wraps around the front of the water wall. The large vertical arch framing views out to the River Thames has also been lifted into position above a reflective pool.
Work is also commencing on the second phase. Clearance of the existing site is due to complete this month and excavation of the basement connecting the two phases has also begun.
fabrik are delighted to be involved with Barratt London in delivering this high quality riverside development in the London Borough of Fulham. Phase 1 is due to compete summer 2016 with Phase 2 due to complete in Summer 2018.
