wembley parade submitted for planning
24 May 2016
Working with Anthology and GRID architects, proposals for the redevelopment of the former Amex House site have been submitted for planning approval. The site is located to the north east of the national stadium and within 300m from Wembley Park tube station. The scheme includes one 4 to 8 storey building and one 13 storey building. The 0.5 hectare site will provide 195 homes of mixed size and tenure.
The scheme is focused around a courtyard garden which will provide a green heart and social hub for residents. Key features of the garden include a central lawn and a topiary garden providing a quiet contemplation space. Silver birch tree planting compliments the courtyard and buildings, with incidental play spaces created within the scheme.
Approval of these plans from the council will hopefully be received in the summer. Construction work will then be due to start in autumn 2016 with the completion of the development expected to be in 2018.
