salford PRS scheme approved

01 December 2016

Planning approval has been granted for Vivere Group's proposed £150m gateway development in Salford. The scheme is comprised of 525 new apartments and town houses as well as a resident's gym.

fabrik's design for the podium courtyard proposes a series of outdoor rooms for socialising, outdoor dining, growing areas and informal play, aimed at promoting interaction between residents and fostering a sense of ownership for their external environment.

At street level new tree planting will enhance the existing adjacent streets, while the sculpted landform along the western boundary provides informal play and amenity space, for residents of the new town houses.

The scheme is due to start on site in 2017.

Proposals for 208 dwellings on Hampshire's former police headquarters in Winchester have been approved.

The new scheme, elevated above the city centre, will feature public open space, a wooded grove, doorstep play, green streets and increased connectivity providing safe access for pedestrians and cyclists travelling through the site.

The central Square will provide a green focus to the development, a sociable hub for the local community and will link to the wider green infrastructure of the site via the street trees and shrub planting.
