templeman library extension construction

01 October 2014

Construction of the Templeman Library Extension is progressing well on site.

The project extends and refurbishes the original library designed by Lord Holford, which is set at the heart of the University of Kent's campus.

As the University celebrates its 50th anniversary, a topping out ceremony marked completion of fixing the distinctive pre-cast concrete facade fins as part of the first of three phases of development.

The library extension project was won in competition by Penoyre & Prasad. Kier is acting as main contractor for construction of the works, which are due to be completed in early 2016.
