learning

west sussex batched academies, west sussex

Won in competitive bid as one of the first batched Academies, fabrik have developed detailed landscape proposals for the new Academies at Littlehampton, Shoreham, Lancing and Midhurst. The new build academies are all in sensitive, edge of town locations with residential neighbours.

The Academies have a strong focus on outdoor learning and sports, with external learning zones that focus in on their specialisms. The Academies were open to accept the new intake of pupils in 2012.

The new Sir Robert Woodard Academy in Lancing, with specialisms in Performing Arts and Mathematics, accommodates 1400 pupils aged 11-18. The Academy caters for all faiths, with individually designed Chapter gardens used as social space, and for extensive community use.
